Ball Hockey League
The TSHA has helped to start a ball hockey league, run by John La Cara, which plays games at an indoor rink in Kita Senju. This leage is called the Japan Street and Ball Hockey Federation (JSBHF).
What's the difference between this and regular Sunday hockey? The ball hockey league is more structured and much more competitive. While we play pick-up hockey on Sunday and mix up the the teams each week the league has a draft each season that results in set teams, with names and uniforms. Standings are recorded, games are officiated, and all that good stuff. But it's still all about fun and playing awesome hockey.
The JSBHF ball hockey league has finished it's first spring season. However more seasons are on the way so you should register now for the Winter 2010 season before the draft starts!
