Street Hockey Report for Sunday 6th September 2015

Hi everybody and welcome to the post-Chad era. I've got some big shoes to fill. All I can promise is that I will do my best to make sure we play as much hockey as possible.

1. GAME ON for Friday, September 18, 8-10pm at Musashi-Urawa.

It's been a long time since we played. I'm not asking for sign ups - it is game on. Please turn up. If you are coming send a reply mail to let me know so we can plan to meet at the station.

- Getting there: Meet at Musashi-Urawa station, West Exit at 7:30-7:40

and split taxis. You can walk to the rink from Musashi-Urawa or Kita-Toda station. Some buses go near the rink.

- Games: Aim for 4 games (3 games of 2x10min periods, 1 game of 3x8min periods).

- Jerseys: Please bring both a white and a dark shirt to play in.

- Cost: Should be about 2500 yen per player. Goalies and gals are 500yen.

2. Sign up for Friday, October 2nd 8-10pm at Musashi-Urawa.

3. Upcoming schedule. To help plan your schedules, at the moment, we have reserved the rink for October 2,16 and 30 as well as November 6 and 20 plus December 4 and 18

4. Weekly Hockey? Would you having the opportunity to play hockey every Friday? Get back to me with your opinion

5. Yamato Cup? Let me know if you're interested in participating... We need players, referees, captains and people to help organize. I'm planning to run it like we did last year i.e. a local 3 or 4 team round robin tournament. I'm checking availability for Saturdays in October and November.
