Street Hockey Report for Tuesday 12th July 2016

1. GAME ON for Friday, JULY 15, 8-10pm at Musashi-Urawa.

- Address: Saitama-ken, Toda-shi, Bijyogi 1-chome-8-2


- Map:

- Getting there: Meet at Musashi-Urawa station, West Exit at 7:30pm and split taxis. We start at 8:00pm sharp so if you find yourself alone, follow the signs to the West exit taxi queue and tell the taxi driver "Bijyogi i-chome no 7-11" or show him the address above. Beware there is also a 7-11 in Bijyogi ni-chome!!!!

Or you can walk to the rink from Musashi-Urawa or Kita-Toda station in about 15 minutes.

- Games: We aim for 4-5 games, usually first to 5 goals wins

- Jerseys: Please bring both a white and a dark shirt to play in.

- Cost: 2500 yen per player. Goalies, ladies and first timers are 500yen. CHECK WITH ME ABOUT THE FREQUENT PLAYER DISCOUNT...

2.. Upcoming Hockey

We will take our midsummer break after July 15 and resume hockey in September. Next hockey nights in Saitama are Friday September 2, September 16 and September 30.


3. Mark your Calendars and Save the Date: 10th Annual Yamato Cup Tournament Saturday October 8th with the TSHA 20th Anniversary Party to follow the same night. It's going to be a great day of hockey and merrymaking. I'm looking for 3 volunteers to captain Tokyo teams as well as referees,scorekeeper etc.


4. You will notice less frequent updates here on the home page. That's because we are using as our main means of communication. Join us there. Just send me your email address and I will invite you to join or search for TSHA at meet We will be updating both our home page and Facebook group in the coming months but meet up is the place to go to find out about opportunities to play hockey with the TSHA

Thanks for the great support and turnout this season. We averaged 17 players and 2 goalies across 21 dates over 10 months plus a fantastic Yamato Cup. We also made a memorable road trip to Nagoya and brought back many thought retired plus a regular MHL contingent and several new faces and talented players. I can say honestly that it's been the best season I've experienced in my 7 years with TSHA . Thanks to everybody who's been a part of it.
