MHL RINK DIRECTION

ADDRESS

Misconduct Hockey League Rink

Address in Japanese:
埼玉県戸田市美女木1丁目8-2

Address in English:
Saitama-ken, Toda-shi, Bijogi 1-8-2

HOW TO GET THERE

The MHL Rink is closest to both Musashi-Urawa and Kita Toda on the Saikyo Line. Generally speaking, it's best to take a taxi or bus from Musashi Urawa, or walk from Kita Toda.

Be careful to note when the Friday we play happens to be a holiday, because train and bus schedules will be different from normal.

From Musashi-Urawa Station

Taxi

By Taxi

Exit the station gates at the West Exit. Turn right, and then go down the first stairs on your right. At the bottom of the stairs, a taxi stand will be on your left. You can show the taxi driver the address above. Some drivers are familiar with the rink and will know where you want to go. Also, there is a 7-11 right near the rink, so another option is to tell the driver, "Bijyogi i-chome no 7-11," and that will get you there.

It should cost about 900 to 1000 yen to get to the rink.

Sometimes a group of players will meet just outside the station gates around 19:40 and share a taxi. If you want to get in on that, get in touch before hand and let us know and we can confirm if anyone will be there.

Bus

By Bus

If you turn left when exiting the West Exit gates, and go down the first stairs to your left, there is a bus stop immediately to the right of the stairs. A bus leaves every 10 minutes.

It takes about 10 minutes to get to the rink. You want to get off at "Bijyogi Shinkin Mae" (美女木信金前), the seventh stop. When you get off the bus, you turn immediately to your right, walk forward to the intersection, turn left, and then walk straight until you see the rink.

Walking

By Walking

You can walk from Musashi Urawa. It take about 20 minutes, but there are a few turns that make it easy to get a little lost and eat up time. If you want to walk, it's far better to plan to go to Kita Toda Station and walk from there.

From Kita Toda Station

Walking

By Walking

The route is not super complicated, but it's tedious enough to describe that it's best to consult the map. It takes about 17 minutes, so it's not quick, but many of our members routinely walk this route.

Bus

By Bus

This bus only leaves once an hour, so it's not recommended. If you happen to see it when you get out the station, then great. But otherwise it's better to walk.

If you turn right when you come out the main gate, there is a bus stop immediately outside the station. You want the 62 bus. It takes about 6 minutes to get to the rink. Get off at "Bijyogi Shogakko" (美女木小学校), the fourth stop, and walk down the main road a minute or so until you see the rink on your right.

Taxi

By Taxi

Head out of the main, and only, gate at Kita Toda, and immediately turn right. You'll see a taxi stand near the Family Mart. However, note that taxis come very infrequently at this station, so if you're thinking of taking a taxi, you're much better off going one more stop to Musashi Urawa.

HEADING HOME AFTER THE GAME

Obviously, you can take the same route back that you took to get to the rink. But it will be helpful for you to keep the following points in mind.

  • The last Saikyo train back to Tokyo from Musashi Urawa is 11:57 PM, and last train from Kita Toda is 11:58, but note that these only go to Ikebukuro Station.

  • Most trains on the Saikyo line heading into Tokyo at night terminate at Shinjuku Station, but there is one train that leaves Musahi Urawa at 11:02 PM, and from Kita-Toda at 11:03 PM, that goes all the way down to Osaki Station. If you want to go to Shibuya, Ebusi, or Osaki, then this will be more convenient than having to transfer to the Yamanote as Shinjuku.

  • There are no express trains heading back into Tokyo at that time of night.

  • If you want to take a taxi from the rink to a station, you have to call one because taxis rarely happen by in that area. The number for the taxi service in the area is 012-034-5608. Or you can use an app like S.Ride. There will be a small additional charge of 400 yen on the fare for calling a taxi, plus another 100 yen if you request them using the app. So it usually costs about 1300 to 1500 yen to get back to Musashi Urawa Station.

  • The last bus from the "Bijyogi Shinkin Mae" stop to Musashi Urawa is at 22:55 (10:55 PM).
